the latest addition to the miasmah roster is oslo based musician fns aka fredrik ness sevendal. a veteran of the oslo experimental scene, sevendal has been associated with several bands over the years: del, slowburn and kobi. additionally his previous work has involved collaborations with makoto kawabata (acid mothers temple), mitsuru tabata (zeni geva, marble sheep), mark francombe (ex-cranes guitarist), and bill wood (1/3 octave band).

nottinghams wigflex camp returns to wax with another implausible display of style, forsaking their 4 track sampler style for a double header on platter number three. featuring one half of the duo behind the blossoming blunted robots label, shortstuff, and previous wigflex contributor, and the only artist to appear on all of the labels releases to date, taylor, the longer 12 inch format lends itself beautifully to the producers who both get the chance to build tracks that exceed the 7 minute mark.

we have never done a project like this before where the artists choose all the remixers themselves. but for the crazy italoboyz album >bla bla bla< we found ourselves not really knowing what to do. so instead of forcing our own ideas for remixers we went back to the source and let the artists run wild on the a&r. marco and fede commissioned all the remixers themselves. the producers they chose are a very diverse bunch and the vinyl 12inch takes a sampling of the best material from two very big underground names. on the a-side das kraus duo turn it a super jackin yet also very haunting rendition of >oh mio dio.< it sounds like pitched up chicago house meets demon days. on the b-side old school master dandy jack turns in one of the oddest records ever on mothership with some unusual sound design, voices and semi-dischordant note runs. super weird for the super weird! whatever you think of this odd lot no one can deny these remixes definitely carry the indistinguishable mark of that ever so quirky duo, the italoboyz

portugals finest exponent of the disco re-edit culture, social disco club, finally delivers his debut release on disco deviance. and wow has it been worth the wait! sdc has had releases on mindless boogie, eskimo and big bear amongst other top labels. he is also a top notch disc jockey and his dj sets are fuelled by his own disco re-edits. for this release sdc slices up the saturday night bands >dont< and extends it into a joyful heavy disco groove that rocks the dancefloor. while on the flip, he demonstrates a more slow mo disco style in his reworking of leo sunshipps >sunshine<, which brings to mind the work of mark e and the revenge, while still keeping a firm eye on the disco ball. both tracks are respectfully edited, lovingly re-mastered and cut loud at 45 rpm for maximum dance floor pleasure and dj delight.

abstractor part 3 is a collectors item, a one sided 12 inch! this is going to work in all types of sets! a track that is specificaly made to burn an explode dance floors. dark and with a huge drive, a track that keeps bouncing between minimal and techno. the voice (delivered by lee noise) goes straight to the bones! small club, festival, big room parties, ... this track will leave its mark, the mark of an avalanche!
